My Wife and I travelled to Holland between 07/05/13 and11/05/13. Used Stena Lines 'Dutch Flyer' rail/sail service aboard Hollandica/Britannica. Comfort class cabin was great. Clean & well appointed. Mini bar & tea/coffee making facilities. Fruit bowl. Big window. Digital TV - channel 5 gives you a bridge eye camera view - how cool is that? Breakfast was OK but a... More

Be careful when travelling with Stena Line Belfast route as their cabins only come with two single beds. Travelling on the almost midnight sailing two children and two adults and a long journey ahead of us after this late sailing we were looking forward to getting some sleep. We were under the impression that it would come with four beds.... More

As an ex-regular user of the Cairnryan-Belfast service I was shocked when myself, my wife and our three small children (3,5 and 7) were unceremoniously evicted from the 'Premier' lounge as our girls were under eight ( we had booked and paid for this service ). The children were extremely well behaved and caused no trouble for anyone. We have... More

The Harwich- Hook of Holland service is an easy way to travel, particularly overnight, with comfortable cabins (Mattresses superb) that are quiet and vibration free. You can board from around 20.30 giving time for a drink and a bite to eat if required. The Ferry is HUGE at 240M long, around 3 years old and spotlessly clean, and I would... More

I have travelled to the Netherlands by flight and Eurotunnel before and this is the first time I travelled with Stena Line and the experience was very pleasant. Check in was smooth and going through immigration was very efficient. We are a family of 3 travelling in the 2 berth comfort class cabin. The cabin was spotless clean with everything... More

Stena Line needs to up its game in Dun Laoghaire. I was told the ticket office there opened at 10:30 but I was still standing in the rain with another traveller at 10:40. A nice girl appeared on the other side of the glass door about then but couldnt find the right key and we finally had to be let... More

Travelled Birkenhead to Belfast and return. Smooth crossing, cabin adequate, bit weaty smelling and difficult to control room temp, but it was OK. Bar prices ridiculously expensive! Didnt eat, but friends not impressed with their meals. Woukd use again though.

The ship that sails from Scotland to Belfast is superb, the Stena Adventurer that sails from Dublin to Holyhead is good and the Stena Europe that sails from Fishguard to Rosslare is poor. We always travel Stena Plus and on the Belfast run it is an excellent service and on Stena Adventurer (Holyhead run) it is good but the service... More

Contacted stenaline about no children in the premium lounge appears they only had feedback saying that children should not be in the lounge, so contact stenaline and give them the opposite feedback, they tried to buy me off with a free cabin one way, but I wrote this review instead

Knowing Stena Line from Scandinavia one thinks about reliable services and quite modern ships. But while Stena's fleet is very up-to-date in their home market, the vessels used for the Irish Sea seem to be more like distant Scandinavian cousins, old maids sometimes. This is especially true for Stena Europe that travels from Fishguard to Rosslare and vice versa. The... More
