This was part of the walking tour with City Tours of the City Walls. It was very enlightening and fascinating to see and hear the history of The Apprentice Boys Memorial Hall.

I had the pleasure to visit here and had such a good time with gentlemen going out of their way to help my trip i will be back for sure. The info of their traditions and beleifs is all transparent and open and we should all look at these organisations with a positive outlook. Thanks guys

Informative and very interesting. Possibly overlooked by visitors to the city but well worth the visit to soak up some of our history.

This is a good place to start your tour of the famous Walls of Derry. There is an interesting small museum inside with a DVD telling much of the history of the city. The Apprentices were the young men who shut the gates of the city against the Jacobean forces in 17th century. Well worth a visit.

It was very interesting to see around this building. Some rooms were uniquely furnished, and there is a history of the Siege of Derry and an effigy of Lundy (the traitor).

i took one of their guided tours and found it interesting, if not somewhat bizarre, the ritualism of this semi-secret organisation were a bit quirky to me but the guide was very interesting and it gave me a chance to learn about the protestant culture and viewpoint in Derry or Londonderry. I think anyone interested in history will want to... More

This was our first trip to Derry and we got a nice day so strolled along the walls and found this little gem. I'm a Scot with several Irish branches in my family and grew up near Glasgow so had a bit of knowledge about the seige - or so I thought! Our guide was just brilliant. He had us... More

It was only £2 a pop, so not expecting much. The best bit was watching the 4 shorts films which filled in my knowledge gaps about what the siege of Derry was all about, and for this reason alone I'd recommend a visit. The rest of the exhibits were of some interest, but there weren't many of them. Was interesting... More
