Invarery is a nice town at the end of a large sea lough the maritime centre was good with clear information.Invarary jail is well worth a visit. More

Moored at the pier at Inveraray,on Loch Fyne,is a remarkable little ship, "Arctic Penguin"only 400 tonnes,but with a wealth of history. A 3 masted vessel,has had several names in it's chequered history.The museum,on board,gives an insight into what life was like in it's heyday.Steps are a bit steep going below,but you're on holiday, so take your time,and you'll be fine.You... This was a highlight of my break in Inveraray, absolutely loved the Maritime Museum, a real treasure. Got speaking to the staff and it's privately owned, no funding received from anyone to keep this running, it must be a real labour of love.
