While walking the West Highland Way on day one you pass by the Glengoyne Distillery. We reached here about 11:15 am. This gave us time to enjoy our sandwiches and then join the 12:00 pm tour. It was a great tour, and we paid a little extra for the Whiskey and Chocolate pairing tour they're now giving. For the extra... More

Nestled into the hillside, this small distillery is truly well worth a visit. There is nothing to really see unless you go on one of several tours they provide. You can just visit their gift shop! We paid for the £7.50 basic 'Glengoyne' tour which lasted about 45 minutes. It includes a small glass of whiskey and a £5.00 voucher... More

An excellent tour! I have been 20 times and always find out something new each time. I often take overseas visitors to Glengoyne. Also friends and family. The tours are really informative and the whisky is devine.

Glengoyne is my favourite whiskey, so I was happy to visit the distillery for a second time in April. I recommend the tasting tour for 20 GBP, I got four whiskeys to taste (12, 15, 18, and 21 year old). Eat a good meal before :) The tour is really interesting, they let you have a peak into the large... More

We visited this distillery after taking in a tour of Auchentoshan distillery in Glasgow (a short car drive away), but I would now do Glengoyne first simply because of the difference in flavours. Both whiskies are great but the richer Auchentoshan will overpower the lighter, citrusy Glengoyne. Glengoyne is a pretty distillery situated bang on a main road that divides... More

I was give a present of a "Masterclass" of tasting a blending. All the distillery staff went out of their way to make this an absolute experience, especially Arthur, who guided me throughout the day. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a dram.

This is a nice distillery to visit. The people our kindly helping you with any question you got. You permitted to take pictures about anywhere in the distillery. We did some quit expensive tours. The chocolate and cask tasting. This didn't add enough extra as we had to pay 70 pounds for it. The whiskies we got to taste were... More

We took a "century tour" & felt it was well worth the cost. We got to taste a hundred years of scotch ( a 10 yr, 40 yr & a 50 yr finished in a Spanish sherry cask). Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the distillation process. The actual stills are almost like works of art.... More

Maybe 45 minutes outside Glasgow, this is a nice drive and an easy afternoon. The tour is only about 30 minutes long, but there's also a whisky tasting you can linger over. Very interesting to see the process and see the detail and exacting patience that goes into making true single-malt whiskey.

I used to live 10 miles down the road from this distillery; before I knew anything about whisky. I never visited. Our Whiksy Tour this year included a trip to Glengoyne and I am really glad I went. Professionally run, this tour was popular (18 of us) including all nationalities. Glengoyne is situated at the foot of the Campsie Fells,... More
