We were fortunate to choose a day when the weather was lovely and sunny to go up the funicular railway to the top of the Cairngorms. The ascent to the top was beautiful, we could see for miles and the driver was very informative and friendly.
Once on top we headed for the viewing area from which we enjoyed vast...

The mountain railway is terrific with great staff too who are prepared to have a chat. The centre at the top apart from the views has a great exhibition floor with excellent information on the geology and the fauna of the area. Sip good coffee or chocolate at the cafe and watch the skiers and boarders. In summer there are...

7 of us had a good time on the funicular railway. The views were stunning. Quite pricey if you are not going up to ski etc. Shop at the top good. No too impressed with the food on offer. Could offer more variety and cheaper. Well worth the visit.

6th highest mountain and well worth the trek. Walk up to the mountain restaurant and the greeting is like you have found a long lost friend, so friendly, good food and a spectacular view. Brilliant day out

Had a great trip up on the funicular railway with some stunning scenery. Well worth it. Staff were really friendly and the hot chocolate in the cafe at the top was well worth the trip alone.

We walked up Cairngorm via the challenging route as part of our Munro bagging trip and found it to be a lovely walk with great scenery and we were lucky enough to have a great view that allowed us to see for miles until the weather turned a bit foul but it was very worthwhile.

Enjoyed our visit to Cairngorm mountain, using the railway to travel up and down, would like to have the option to take the train up and walk down but this is currently not possible. The cafe at the top has nice views but food isn't the best and cafe could be better. Views were very limited the day we visited...
