It cost £6 to get into the castle and many of the doors are sealed off. Some of the items in the building are ok, but most are rubbish. Take photos out side in the car park for free. More

Went here at the weekend from Kilmarnock. What a very long but lovely drive and well worth it, visited castle local shop and took some utterly fab scenery photos. Well worth the drive, plenty to see and do and lots of hotels,b&b's and food places to suit all tastes. More

I went to Donan 3 summers. I love the bridge crossing to the castle. They were diging looking for artifacts when I was there. Quite a smell digging in that mud. There was a little older lady there she was a great help. Only complaint no pictures. More

Have always wanted to go here and have now managed to, what a spectacular place, and having a cloud free day, no wind, blue sky and sunshine made it even more special.
