Free to enter (unlike the library itself), and worth a stroll around on even only 1 day's visit to Dublin. While a good deal older than most, it reminded me of the early American university campuses dotted across the Atlantic coast which were founded in the mid-late 1700s. It's a worthy muse if those campuses are modeled after it.

It is a beautiful campus to just walk around and take in... We missed the Book of Kells and the library by 10 minutes.. not happy about that .. but it is a beautiful campus and should be seen ... it is centrally located and should only take a few minutes to see by itself

Even if you don't want to pay to go inside the uni, exploring the grounds is definitely a must! Beautiful buildings.

It was a quick visit was going to see the Book of Kells but that was a fee visit so we just looked around the main quad area as the buildings are off limit. Visit the Old Library and see the Book of Kells. It is interesting to know more the making of the Book of Kells:) The Old Library has a great library hall which is very worth visiting. Students can enjoy a discount price (8euro) to enter the Old Library. Adult -9euro

Very pleasant student guides with good sense of humour. Being in Dublin everyone must see beautiful Book of Kells, which is on display in Trinity College.

Liked explanation of scribes and illustrators of book of Kelly's. But even more fun was the 30 minute tour of the campus given by Dani, She was witty and friendly and I wish her good luck in the future

Trinity college may be a great university to attend, but as a tourist, there is not much to see. Don't waste time here, especially if you are on a limited schedule. It's just a university.
