Always someone doing something in the square - take a seat for a few minutes and just people watch! Nice and clean and lots of places to sit. The old building bit is interesting as well.

Brilliant place to chill out on a nice day. People watch, have a coffee, have a sneaky pint, lunch etc. There's always a group of people doing something like playing instruments, juggling, playing tag rugby or football.

I had heard about the famous Eyre Square many times before my visit so it was great to see it in the flesh. The square is but the heart of the city with many bars and restaurants within walking distance but thats about it.

A changing canvas... Beautiful square of parkland in Galway city... Great for picnics or meeting place with friends... Many pubs and shops overlook the square and the day I was there buskers and street performers were wandering about...

If you are from a large U.S. city, Eyre Square is a smallish shopping center, nothing really special.

Great place for people watching and really the centre of the city. Surrounded by pubs shops and hotels and a lively place to hang out for a while..

eyre square is actuaaly the centre of galway, it is very lively at any time and it is very to get there. nearby both coach,taxi and train station, as well as may shops, pubs and mall.

I think that the refurbished square has matured nicely and is now a nice public space in which to relax

I have always wanted to stay in Galway but not stay again. Seemed to be full of gangs of thugs hanging around the door of most small pubs in Eyre square smoking spitting puking and fighting.I'm a Taxi Driver and I was even surprised but my wife was very disappointed and intimidated .
