Spoke with one of the reps on April 11th and she was very helpful with providing directions. Friendly and professional staff. Anyone travelling here for first time should stop in here first and find out what's going on. I think they also have info on walking tours around Kilkenny which we'll do the next time we're there. While small, the tourist information office has a good assortment of information materials on Kilkenny as well as other areas of Ireland. The woman we spoke with was helpful in answering questions as well as willing to call up the Smithwick's facility to schedule us for the tour that afternoon. My wife and I picked up our road map of... More

Kudos to the staff here! They are tremendously helpful and were able to answer a barrage of questions and they know the city like the back of their hand. Even if you don't need any tourist information, stop in and have a look at the building. It was originally built in 1582 as an alms house for the poor. It... More

We went there on a saturday/sunday (not sure) and it was closed for the whole day (we went there in the morning, afternoon and evening to check it out). First it took me ages to find the entrance because it was all closed up, but there was no sign. So I first thought I missed the entrance and ended up... More

The staff were helpful and pleasant. They were able to set me straight to maximize my Kilkenney experience. They were also very helpful on me chosing my route to Dublin. I experienced the Wicklow Mountains because of their advice. More

I have visited Kilkenny many times, but in June I went with friends and we did the walking tour, very reasonable and well worth doing. The guide had great knowledge of the local area and there is plenty to see. Highly recommended More

We didnt receive any interesting tips from the office. also, it is on the second floor of a building; I didnt see an elevator, so using their services could be difficult for someone with mobility problems. More
