We took a stroll through the grounds of this church. The cemetery on the grounds is a peaceful place for a stroll. The interior of the church was not open. The exterior of this church is beautiful! if you are visting limerick,this is amust see a stones throw from the treaty stone and a short walk across the bridge to king johns castle this is the place where you will get magnificent photos with the majestic river shannon in the background

This should refer to St Munchins church on church street, beside the castle. You can actually see one church from the doors of the other, about a three minute walk. Contrary to what trip advisor says, this church is open and functioning as a place of worship. Masses are held there regularly.
