Visiting in the evening meant few of the facilities were open but it was a clean open space good for walking with large open spaces for kids to play.
my son loves it here. main attraction, ducks! and feeding them! also great place for a nice walk. i would say its a great place for people of all ages. i dont have any pets myself but seems like a good place for taking dog for walks
I have been to Moses gate a number of times with the kids and they have always enjoyed it. Make sure you take some bread for the ducks. There is an area for the kids to play in which is reasonable and safe.
Massive lakes, an old stately house, thousands of birds, lots of different walks some through to the River Croal, River Irwell and the canals through Little Lever. Well worth a visit, large free car park and fantastic children's area.
lovely walks around the lakes, very well kept gardens, an oasis of calm in a busy town. perfect for wheelchairs, prams and dog lovers. please note swans like fresh greens and grapes not stale bread or mouldy rice. keep the wildlife healthy
If you like a good stroll around water, feeding the ducks/geese/swans (at very close quarters !) and walking through woods on long-existing trails, then this is a good place to go to. If you have kids, there is a very decent play area with swings and slides and little activity centres which will keep them happy for a good while....

There is the walk down the side of...

I have been riding in Moses Gate C P for at least fifteen years on my horses ... I love the place ... the people who look after it ... and the amazing wildlife (DEER) , foxes, etc, it's a big part of my life.... sad \i know but what the hell ....
This park has been ongoing for years, I remember it before it was a country park. You can fish, walk, birdwatch, eat ice cream. But your day CAN be spoiled by idiots. (its in that type of area) Everyone heads there when the sun is out (bewarned) Ample free car parking.
