This is a beautiful building and an amazing venue for a wedding. We hadn't seen it when our daughter booked her wedding here and we were so pleased with the day. The staff are friendly and the registry staff are fantastic. It all goes very smoothly on the day.

The architecture of town hall, I believe, is based on the one in Ghent and it is very splendid indeed. If it is open to visitors, the Great Hall is certainly worth a visit. And there's a tea room as well!

Didn't except much from the town hall but it really delivered. It is simply nice to enjoy a afternoon coffee after shopping in town and gaze at this impressive building. So much detail, everytime you go back to notice something different from the visit before.

Combination of cultures-tour guide explained the history clearly. Surprises await you in the back!! Very beautiful woodwork, stonework and tile...and its a working bldg, not just for tourism.

Try the cafe in the foyer, it is like having tea in a museum! Big leather chairs and sofas to sit in and statues all around you. Quick service and friendly staff.

Last time, we got an individually guided tour in the building by a gentleman. The lobby tea room is just great.

Just walk in & do your own... The staff keeps to themselves & will not ask many questions... Explore the building & every open door or window you find... You will easily find that time will fly as you view the glass work, arches, stairways & more...

Went as a guest to a wedding here and the place was great. Staff were lovely and very helpful and attentive. The venue was wonderfully decorated and the drinks were reasonably priced.

Went on a evening walk up the old clock tower great views of the city and fascinating stories about the history of Manchester and its part in the new wave of architecture and industrialisation in the eighteen hundreds ( 1800's) . Not for the unfit, claustrophobic or those with a tendency to have vertigo moments lots of steps, narrow gaps... More
