This little gem is right in the heart of St Germain and definitely worth a visit. It has a beautiful garden outside full of herbs and flowers which is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The museum itself is fascinating and it was especially exciting to see the Lady and the Unicorn tapestries for the first time... More

Juxtaposition of Roman baths and medieval church stuff. The video was not subtitled in English so was a bit technical for basic French speakers and really didn't get what the Unicorn tapestry was about. Maybe the audio guide explained it all.... More

I avoided this museum on my previous trip becuase it sounded a little bit boring. BUT it is amazing. The Lady and the Unicorn Tapestries are so much more beautiful in real life. THe museum has so many things of interest. I could spend all day here. Staff were friendly and helpful, shop assistant was gorgeous. More

We had a museum pass but ended up going in the museum backwards! A short tour through is all you need -- see the Unicorns displayed in the room. Get a written guide (guide book or from gift shop) to see what is important in each tapestry. Not a crowded museum> Good gift shop. More

The museum assembles articles that bring the sense of the middle ages into the present. Even the maze-like arrangement of rooms and levels serves to disorient the modern visitor (in a good way). More

This is really a little gem of a museum in the lively neighborhood near the Sorbonne. If you can't make it to the Sainte Chappelle, you can enjoy some of the windows in this museum. It is most interesting and its location makes for a great afternoon of cafe-hopping after your museum visit. More

The Cluny is one of the more overlooked museums in Paris. It is conveniently locoed near Boulevard St. Germain and the Luxembourg Garden. It is located in an old villa on the site of Roman baths when Paris was Lutetia -- a Roman city. The ruins of the bath are still in the museum. This is a very focused museum... More
