This island is a nature reserve - and not commercialised - made a good break from the showiness of Cannes. OK the beaches are stony but we found a lovely quite beach with a great view and a picnic site in the forest behind - we noticed several other picnic sites on our walk from the quay - so picnicers... It only takes 15minutes to get to the island from the Vieux Port of Cannes and the feeling when you get there is marvellous. The island is rich of nature and secluded spots to get happily lost far from the Croisette fanfare. I suggest to walk the eucalyptus path which is regenerating and the Dragon path from where you can... More

We went to St.Honoret. We have been there many times in past years, but this was the first time we had taken our grandchildren. The crossing from Cannes takes about 25 minutes. The island is wonderfully peaceful and a boatfull of passengers is quickly dispersed along peaceful walks amonst pines and lovely wild flowers. There is a fortified Cistercian monastery... More

There are two islands but I took the excursion to Ile Sainte Margeurite from Cannes, 12.50 euros return with Cote Azur. I would not under normal circumstances visit Cannes, and you can do this trip from Nice, but it's about three times the price. The island was just amazing. It was like a fantasy version of england/scotland on a summer's... More

Very nice afternoon at the Ile Marguerite, Cannes. We took the boat ride of 15 minutes from Cannes to St Marguerite Island. Very nice island, good to spend with family and friends, including young children. You can actually walk around the complete island. It helps when it is a beautiful day of sunshine.

A short ferry trip from old Cannes port to St. Margueirite - 12 euros per person return. A very quiet little island withseveral different beautiful walks through the pines. in 2 hours we met about 8 people. If you want to relax from bustling Cannes - this is the place to go for a few hours.

Tired of the busy buzz of Cannes, Juan-les-Pins or Antibes? Looking for a tranquil cove to swim in pristine water? Take one of the excursion boats departing every hour for Saint Margerite Island. Saint Honorat, the second Lerins Island, can also be visited but there forget about swimming. Instead, enjoy the beautiful and peaceful visit of the Cisterian abbey and... More

The Lerins Islands are close to Cannes and you may visit them by using one of the boats in the Port (west of the Palace and Hotel de Ville). The cost of round trip to Margarieta Island is ca 22 euro, to St, Honorat island it is 28 euro return per person. It makes a great trip away from cannes... More

I love Sainte Marguerite Island and try to go as often as possible. It's great any time of year. In the summer for swimming at one of the many creeks and eating a Pan Bagnat sandwich with a glass of rosé wine. In spring, fall or winter it's great for light hiking among the kilometres of trails and to pop... More
