I have attended 3 performances here--a dance concert, an opera and a classical music concert. The acoustics were extremely fine, the crowd elegant and enthusiastic and the prices fair. Top quality performers are attracted to this comfortable, relatively new opera house, which has a lovely policy of handing a rose to everyone as they exist.
A huge (2nd largest in Europe!) auditorium, with good acoustic. Several bars and restaurant. Incredible series of world-famous artists throughout the tear.
I came all the way from the Netherlands to attend just one performance here (traveled on a Saturday for the performance, went back on Sunday).

I have attended several performances at the Festspielhaus and I think that there is not a bad seat in the theatre. I liked the opportunity the locations offers, provided good weather. Drinks and snacks on the square in front of the entrance of the venue.
Great venue in good location. Theatre is amazing and huge. We sat way up the back but could see everything. After the show all the ladies were given a rose as we left the building which was a really nice touch!
We saw the revisor from Gogol and it was really fun and well done. We set at the first row for last minute tickets of 20€ each. It professionals and if you have a basic knowledge of German it is absolutely worth while see a play.
the purpose of my visit was to attend 3 events at the Festspielhaus. I was not disappointed. Though I had known the artists would be wonderful, the theatre itself was a delightful surprise, attractive, and very good acoustically. NEGATIVE SIDE: The concert hall and all rooms were extremely over heated at all performances, detracting from the pleasure of the events.
Great looking programme with some serious Classical Artist playing during the spring festival.
