Nice scenic route with great views, but also good restaurants and hiking trails along the route. Avoid weekends, as traffic can be slow.

Visit Allerheiligen with its intriging monastery ruine and impressive waterfalls. Also the gletsjer lake Mummelsee is worththe detour

The Schwarzwald Hochstrasse is certainly a beautifull scenic route with lots of curves and under normal circumstances I would certainly enjoy a sporty ride along it.
But as it happened I was there with my wife and two young children, when lots of fresh snow was falling from the sky. So even with winter tires I choose to very carefully...
