We walked around the English Garden as it was winter time, lovely fresh walk, great to see wildlife & dogs running around.
The English Garden is my favorite place in Munich, although I take time to go to church too - but that's only for a while - I can spend a day at the Garden especially at the Chinese tower (Chinesiches Turm) where thousands of people can gather on a summer afternoon and quaff remarkable German beer by the liter and... The English Garden is beautiful, relaxing, filled with people yet peaceful. Walking around you pass the Japanese Teahouse, the outdoor beer garden is filled with food and drinks and at a great price. Go check out the surfers, find Monopteros (Apollo Tempel), pass the Chinese Tower or just sit by the water and watch the ducks. It's a great place... More
went to the Christmas market here. very lovely place to visit and walk around. Next time we will do a buggy ride

Nice park to run around even when it was cold at the start of winter. Little wet and muddy on the paths but nothing much to worry about. There's a bit of a beer garden / market in the middle if you are so inclined. Beautiful autumn colours!

We spent an hour or so strolling around and climbing (it's only about 20 steps) up to the Denkmal / Monument in the middle of the garden for a nice view of the City. Had a lovely hot chocolate in a quirky little... More

There is a beautiful lake where you can go for a boating. There are a couple of beer gardens, ( my fav being the Chinese Tower).... More
