Hercules 77 has written all about how to get to the House that hosted the infamous Wannsee Konferenz in January 1942. What makes this place unique is not just the concrete presence of history but the sheer beauty of the house and its location: prepare to be stunned. What surprised me was the sheer pedagogical quality of the 2006-designed exhibition... More

Visiting this place learned me that we have not learned anything from history and therefore it is good to visit this place. More

We visited the Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz on a beautiful hot sunny day last week and, from the outside, it looked just like another elegant Villa set in a small garden on the edge of Lake Wannsee. This place doesn't advertise itself. Entry is through a heavy gate (just ring the bell to get buzzed in). The exhibition is arranged throughout... More

Wow what an I pressive and low key exhibition. This is Roth the stop on your way to Potsdam and you leave the wannsee station by the bus 114 which takes you directly there. Ask the driver to drop you off. The same bus takes you to the train station again. More

I enjoyed this museum, learned lots of things I did not know and it's free ! Plus, the view on Wannsee from the garden is nice ... if you have extra time while in Berlin, go there More

If you are travelling to Potsdam from Berlin, it is an easy stop-over for an hour or so to visit the House of the Wannsee Conference. The house and its location on the banks of the Wannsee lake are delightful. It is such a contrast to the terrible decisions which were taken there in January 1944, leading to the Nazi... More

Excellent place to visit for anyone with an interest in WWII, the holocaost and the Nazi's. In this house in 1942 to Nazi's, was held a conference, to try and establish the best means to draw together the various strands that were at work in persecuting the jews, into one single unified comprehensive strategy, that would ultimately pave the way... This is in such a beautiful location that it wouldn't seem possible that such a dark episode in human history could be conceived here. The setting and gardens are picturesque, as is the small lakefront walk. The house and exhibition itself is small, but not too small. Entry is free, and you should aim to spend around an hour or... I visited Berlin in 2010, mainly to visit it's historic sites, including the Bendlerblock (Operation Valkyrie) and Wannsee. As others have posted, the house at Wannsee is reached by train from Berlin, then a bus that drops you across the road from the house itself. It is a very strange feeling when you enter the ground's and the house itself.... More

This place is very interesting; however, if you have limited time in Berlin I'm not sure it's worth the trip out there (it takes about 1 hour total). The exception would be if you are going that way anyway and are seeing something else nearby, or if you are particularly interested in this topic. The whole area is very beautiful... More
