The first place you will visit if you go to Bremen. Beautiful square where you can find the town hall, the parlament and Roland statue. There take place the Christmas market and all the main events in this small but beautiful city.

Good to shop! Many shops available such as C&A, H&M, and many more. Good restaurants to eat when you're tired. Good area to relax and the shops were very nice. When we went there was a discount on most of the things. Very nice area and near to my hotel.

My personal favorite Marktplatz in Germany, the Bremer Marktplatz is at once open and intimate. Grab a table at the Beck's am Marktplatz for great people watching surrounded by incredible architecture. This market square is surrounded by the old historic buildings. At night the buildings are lit up and it makes for a lovely view. I have been here in the middle of winter so it was quite quiet and lonely yet still beautiful. You can try different type of foods (ethnic) and fruits (egzotic). Since it is in the middle of everywhere in Bremen, you can have access to big shopping malls, to trams and buses from here...

This place, with the Roland Statue and the beautifully maintained Rathaus is a must, when you visit Bremen and also offers the opportunity to visit the dome - always very impressive.
