Some of the most beautiful ship`s models I have ever seen......of all types/sizes. Very well set out/presented. Admission charge...but you could spend all day there and probably not see it all !!

I realize other folks have loved this place, but i found it dry and sterile, lacking any real romaticism about sailing the high seas. There is an opportunity to bring you into a more intimate look at life on a ship, etc., but the way the museum is presented just doesn't bring it to that level.

It was good...but onlyfor those who love ships. I think 2 floors is enough after that gets boring to see only ships. but definitely worth a visit
The museum is great, so much to see inside, just be aware, there are million of stairs, lifts are available. I suggest to start from the top and go to the bottom, in this way the experience will be less tiring.
This is absolutely the most complete collection of shipmodels. Anything you want to know about ships can be learnt here. Really fascinating to follow how ships and sailing have changed the world. How goods in an ununderstandeble amount are shiped over the seas. Look at the big models of containerships and admire. When you are ready in this place take...

This had opened since our last visit to Hamburg but is a great addition to the city. We had a little difficulty finding it but I'm glad we did. We could have spent all day here there was so much to see. It says 9 floors but most had sub floors and the place was packed with fascinating exhibits which...

I a typical museum with lots of information from the Baltic sea and the history of the northern sea. There are thousands of models and you can have a better idea of the olds days to present times.
The models in this place are fantastic and...wait for it...the ENIGMA machine! From ancient scrimshaw to modern to fantasy, this place has it all. GO SEE this place!

There are 9 floors, millions of models of everything that has been made to float on the sea (or go under it), and good explanations with main messages in English too. You will need all day to see everything but if you haven't got that much time...

A monster collection of models from miniatures to lifesize. We spent four hours filling our brains with such interesting information. The Museum is so well done, I could have returned the...
