Just nice place to stroll around, plenty of restaurants as you get closer to town area & you can take a boat trip down Rhine if you want to.

This is a wonderful location, however better when the weather changes so you can join in the ambiance of the location.

Too bad I was not able to visit the tower itself this time since it was closed on monday. It really is a worth of visiting!

As reviews by other trip advisor users, this is a great walk to go for, but only during summers. During winters it gets too windy and way too cold to enjoy the beautiful Rhine river. It is quite deserted over the winter and best avoided.

We enjoyed our walks along the promenade, if fact we did it both days in Dusseldorf. The cafes are inviting and we dropped off for a beer, the waiter was friendly and entertaining. I would like to return in the summer though as it was very cold in February.

This is the main route from the Hotel to the old and main town. broad and modern. I can imagine on a spring/summer day this would be lovely (it was -6c on the day I walked )

Great view over the Rhine, as we took a walk to the art museums and galleries. Too bad it was marred by a lot of grafitti. It seems that the city of D-dorf doesn't bother to clean up the grafitti, we kept seeing it everywhere. Such a differentce to Stockholm, that takes a hard stance against it.

Pleasant walk, and you can bookend it with a meal in one of a many good eateries in either Altstadt or Hafen area.
