Very lively with wall to wall bars and restaurants. Ideal for stag and hen parties which we saw quite a few of. Some of the food was of poor quality and some of the restaaurants were very expensive.

Nothing much but an old Gothic town so nothing much to write about. Guess I dont appreciate architecture that much.
Charming spot, with rows of restaurants and bars and chocolate shopes, pastry makers, you name it. When we visited, it was happy hour, which the locals celebrate daily like an annual festival of all the Wonder that is Dusseldorf! On the border of the mighty Rhine River. Lots of adjacent parks. Just one of the loveliest spots I've ever had...

After you have been shopping or paid a visit to a museum do stroll through the Altstadt of Dusseldorf. When you walk into it from the Konigsallee you will find a long street full of pubs which is a feast to walk trough. I went nearly to the River Rhein and settled at the Brauerei Uerige. Fantastic. And the alt...

Contrary to previous reports, there is more to the Altstadt then just pubs. There is some wonderful old architecture and off course the walk along the river is a vacation in itself. I fell in love with Düsseldorf all over here.

During the day there is plenty of shopping to peruse, unique restaurants on and off the Rhein river, and several museums near by. After the sunsets there are many bars and clubs for you to check out. The night life here...

There is nothing to visit there. If you travel to Dusseldorf you can only focus on the famous shopping street - Koningsalle. The rest does not matter.
There's a promenade alongside the river, with plenty of choice of food and drink. The riverside has a very seaside-like feel to it. Spotted a few stag parties, but they all seemed really well behaved, so no trouble at all. We went primarily so that we could board a pleasure cruise on the Rhine, but ended up staying around the...

Some great cafes and restaurants and several small bars. A feel of old, real Germany. Look out for local breweries as these are worth a taste!
With it's narrow cobbled streets, little squares, statues, churches and lovely coloured buildings, old town Dusseldorf has a real charm about it. Endless cafes and restaurants and some nice little shops as well. You can stroll down to the Rhine and watch the barges come and go, and the whole area is just a lovely place to be. Dusseldorf is...
