My friend and I walked here in August and it was scorching! The place looks cool, and the architecturally pretty "roof" walkway looks quite nice, but offers no respite from the sun. There is NO shade in this whole area, so stay away in the heat of summer! It was pretty with views to the cathedral across the water, but... More

There is a rather over-engineered 'roof' that provides shade, and a glass screen between you and the harbour. So if there is ever a freezing wind blowing in from the sea, the screen would be good - does this happen in Málaga? If there is hot sun the overhead will be welcome, I am sure this does happen in Málaga.... More

The Palmeral is a recently developed promenade area by the harbour/marina just a short walk from the centre of Malaga. There is a covered stretch which leads to shops, restaurants and bars and a little further on there is a pleasant sandy beach. We were in the city for three days and spent part of each day in this area... More

The Palmeral de las Sorpresas is a very nice place to walk. The sight of the harbor is very good and the gardens have many benches where one can spend a while to rest and enjoy the views.

Lovely promenade walk and a little bit of something for everyone - views, shops, bars, restaurants, gardens, dancing water fountain, children's play area - all new and fresh. The day we visited there was a cruise liner berthed. I would recommend a visit.

A nice roofed-promenade at the marine. Looked really nice from farther away. The marine was build mainly for the cruisers so it was pretty merchant. However, those shops were the only ones open on Sunday.

It is quite recently constructed , but it brings a very fresh concept of a promenade along the port of Malaga. There are a lot of bars, restaurants and shops nearby.

We walked up and down here every day to the beach and Marina etc. It contains beautiful gardens and fountains and interactive 'installations' for children and adults to explore. Very nice. There's also a little play park for children with a see-saw, roundabout, jungle gym type thing etc.

A kind of a boulevard stretching along the Malaga port pier, designed as a chain of very nice small "gardens" equipped with creatively shaped benches, playgrounds etc. A nice place to walk anf relax while contemplating the busy port's life. The only negative (to my mind) is that it has no exits all along it's length, so you can only... More

Palmeral de las Sorpresas is actually a minimalist-designed walkway-park along the sea and Malaga harbor. There are also some eco-modern kids playgrounds.
