This ancient and beautiful example of decorative Islamic architecture is well worth seeing but, if you value your hearing, don't sit underneath it when the bells are about to ring!

This cathedral tower was originally constructed as a minaret. It resembles its counterpart in Marrakech...but with an added belfry.
The tower/minaret is beautiful from the ground, but I'm not sure that it was worth climbing the 30+ levels to get there. Really, there was nothing to see but the City views. If you are looking for "history", just see this one from the ground floor...not worth the climb.
The book tells you there are 35 manageable raps up to the top of this tower. There are and they are all manageble, just not one after the other 35 times!! It can actually be a hard slog up here so if you are unfit or getting on don't be afraid to stop and rest in one of the side...

Views - you can see for 40km. See all over Seville. Watch out incase you are "height" sick! Must be able to climb the slope.
If you can hack the climb (not too bad as it is sloping ramps rather than stairs), your reward is stunning 360 views of Seville on every side
Worth the long walk up the ramp to get great views over the city. Be aware that there are some steps at the end. The panoramic photos identifying the locations around the city are slightly out of date and there are some new buildings not marked.

We haven't climbed many towers in our day but this was the first one that didn't have either steps or an elevator...instead, you walk up a ramp! To the 35th "floor"! Though it's a long way up, it's not as bad as you might think. People of all ages were walking up comfortably and taking breaks by the many window...
