This tour got us up close to 6 bars and their specialties (and matching beverages!) and was a great way to introduce ourselves to the city. Eli was a great host, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we also learnt a lot about the place and Basque culture. Although pricey we thought it well worth doing and in the following days found... The Rioja Wine Tasting was a memorable experience and an excellent way to learn more about Spanish wines. The presenter was fantastic and had a deep knowledge of Spanish wines from the history, the production process through to how to properly taste wines. I highly recommend this course, the value was second to none. More

The San Sebastian pintxos bar scene can be a bit intimidating at first, but this tour gets you up to speed quickly. We visited six pintxos bars, both traditional and modern, where our guide, Ellie, took care of ordering the house specialties, explaining what we were eating and drinking, and providing a bit of history as we walked around the... Jon and his team provide an excellent "hands on" day. Meeting the chef and getting an introduction to local produce, especially seafood. Then time in the kitchen both watching & joining in. Finished off with eating the lunch you made. More

We were 4 friends who greatly enjoyed the Pinxto Tour and Tasting on a chilly night in April. The tour was said to be 5 places with 1 pinxto and 1 beverage in each spot - so, at 85euros, that seemed a bit high, but the reviews were so good that we decided to try it. (Okay, as the trip... More

My girlfriend and I travelled to San Sebastian for a week of food, wine, culture and a little down time. I came across San Sebastian Food here on Tripadvisor and what a great find that was. Prior to our departure I had probably sent Jon, Jenny and the staff at SSF a dozen emails regarding where to stay, where to... More

Cheese & Wine Tour : half day tour. Met at San Sebastian Food (easy to find as it is on a corner with a big sign) and got on a comfortable shuttle bus. Our group of 7 headed to the basque hills (about 20 to 30 minutes away) where we met a local cheese artisan. He did not speak English... More

13 girls, one hen weekend and a wine with pinxtos tour that was fantastic! Jon had kindly put together a tailored tour for us with coach travel out to the vineyard, only a 20 minute journey from San Sebastian. Jenny was our guide and a fabulous one at that. We were at the vineyard to taste Txakoli wine - the... More

If you are visiting San Sebastian or called Donostia in Basque, you must go on their Pintxo tour ("bar-hopping" tour). Pintxo is "tapa" in northern spain. They are small portions of dishes that you eat at the bar with beer and wine. On this tour, we had some amazing food and drinks. I definitely recommend it!! More

We did the 3 city Bespoke tour, where we had a all guide from each of Barcelona, San Sebastian & Madrid Loved it all! Mar in Barcelona (just gorgeous) Eli in SS ( so lively, gotta love her laugh) Joanna in Madid (so warm & genuine). Jon Warren is the organizer of SSF, and has arranged this well. I loved... More
