I lived in Spain for about 4 years, just a few blocks from this park. I would walk to it every afternoon with my daughter. The entire park is beautifully landscaped with lush trees and flowers. There are several different fountains through out and charming pathways to discover all the little hidden nooks and crannies of this park. There seems... More

A small park in the city, nicely landscaped and surprisingly quiet on a fine Sunday afternoon. Definitely worth chilling out for a half-hour or so if you happen to be in the area.

My cruise ship pulled into Las Palmas on a Sunday which meant that everything was closed. No problem - you could easily spend a Sunday here at the park watching the local families and enjoying the beauty. This is simply a great place to relax and soak in the culture. This is not a touristy place at all which is... More

Just behind our favorite Las Palmas hotel: Hotel Santa Catalina, you will find this wonderful park. Flowers and trees, waterfalls and ponds. There is also a small cafe where you can stop and have a drink, and playgrounds for the kids. A great place to spend some time when in Las Palmas, and certainly not to be missed if you... More

This park is lovely at night as the water fountains are all lit and provide a spectacular display. Visit the cafe for a bite to eat for lunch or a morning coffee. Good service from friendly staff and very reasonable prices

This park was just behind our hotel, the Hotel Santa Catalina. I can truly say I have never seen a more beautiful, well maintained park anywhere. IT used to be dogged by the local druggies etc. but to their great credit the council recruited guards and locked the gates at night, problem solved. The water-features are quite magnificent and stocked... More

Take the tourist bus, or the nº 1 town bus, and alight at the Hotel Santa Catalina. Pass through the lovely gardens of this splendid hotel which has been home to kings and princes, film stars and politicians, and call in at the Nestor Art Gallery and Pueblo Canario (where there is a folk music and dancing group on Sundays... These gardens are very well maintained and wheelchair/pushchair friendly. If you visit on a Sunday around lunchtime go through the arches to the left before you get to the main entrance. You will find traditional Canarian Singing and dancing. We stumbled across the show by accident and stayed a good 20 minutes watching and listening. Many locals also go along... More

Parque Doramas is a large park located on Calle Parque Doramas. It has a large pool where one can observe very colorful koi fish. There are several fountains and many shrubs and flowers, with plenty of benches to rest and observe the park. One can also find many dragos (dragon trees). The park is named after Doramas, who was a... More
