It had amazing view but it is a very hard walk not great for with little kids. Take a picnic for in the caves half way up.

We took the cable car to the top of the rock, and after spending some time at the top made our way to the Med steps. Walking down the med steps has got to be one of the greatest experiences of my gibraltar trip. The steps aren't physically challenging, so just about anyone can complete this walk within 2-3 hours....

Away from the hum of mopeds and tour buses, the Med Steps are a steep but exhilarating way to see the Rock and the Straits. Fabulous views with only the calls of the seagulls overhead. Take water!
We took the cable car up and the med steps down. As other reviewers have said the views are magnificent and can't be had any other way than from these steps. They are hard work going down so i would not attempt going up them unless really fit. In some parts the bushes are overgrown so i would recommend light...

What an awesome trail. 1 hr quick walk, or 1.5 if you go slow, and stop and take the kids. What views, what wildlife, what fun! A must do, the best way to get up the rock (or take the cable car one way and the med steos the other!

The steps undertook some major refurbishment in 2007 and the opening path is modern, fenced and very easy to navigate, lulling you into a false sense of security.
At the...

This walk is only easily accessed via a taxi or the cable car as the walk up would be the main part of the walk.
A peaceful walk on the East side and great views down into the ocean. Plenty of wildlife and interesting relics of fortification. This was the highlight fo me and it was so quiet compared to...
