We were underwhelmed by this place maybe because of the expectations set from reading the previous reviews. Our 3 year old enjoyed himself but no more than if he was playing at a free playground. He was mostly interested in the supermarket, moving the gravel up and around using the pipes and turbine screw handles, and the fire engine and... More

Our group had 5 children with an age range of 5 yo down to 1yo, and it was just perfect! There was a separate closed-off no-shoes section just for under 3s, which was great for the baby. All the kiddies had so much fun, running up the spiral, playing with the mirrors, water-play, fire engine and the huge play-kitchen area.... More

Our two children - aged 3 and 4 - loved Explora. It was a real tonic for them in between the historic sites and alleyways or Rome. They bounded round the different activities with unending energy and we followed suite. All of us were knackered afterwards! I'd thoroughly recommend this place for anyone with children up to about 8 or... More

Our kids enjoyed this and appreciated the kid time among so much "adult" sight seeing. A bit sad that we could only be in there for 1 hour 45 min. We knew that going in, but the time goes VERY quickly. They loved the grocery store and bank. Research their entrance times. It looks like it's off the beaten path,... More

I took my 4 year old daughter here on the last afternoon of our holiday, she was in shatterered and in desperate need of something for her age group and this place was perfect. She immediately perked up and was totally into everything in there. She loved playing shop being able to work on the checkout herself. The kitchen and... More

Great little place for young kids to enjoy. DON'T just turn up though as entry is only at specific times and for limited times. Closed Mondays.

We took our two daughters, eight and six, here on our last day in Rome and it was perfect. We needed something as an alternative for them after a few days of visits to museums and historical sites. Explora is a hands on place to learn and play where children can imagine themselves shopping and banking or gardening and cooking,... More

As we were in Rome for a short business trip and we could take our children of five and eight years of age with us, friends who have children in Rome advised us to take ours to this "Children Museum" called "Explora". We went there despite the concierge didn't know, maybe he didn't have children, and believe me it's a wonderful... More

After having our five year old son endure several days of sightseeing, museums, famous churches, and the hard walks on Roman pavement, we thought that he deserves a break and went to Explora. He was really happy to play in the exhibits and could have definitely stayed longer than the 1hr45min timed admission. The place was air conditioned and comfortable.... More
