Hardly anything but scrub and small, mostly dead plantings. There were a few good spots for pictures of the lake below but gardens themselves were poor
This garden is quite natural - I think we were expecting something more formal. Although pleasant, you could walk in the hills and find something similar - lots of trees, a stream or two, no special features to mention.
We visited this garden by road and car, rather than taking the cable car - the signage leaves a lot to be desired, but it's a fun windy drive. The garden is still a work in progress with new paths being laid and a rather basic little care, but do go - it's a lovely quiet garden with some stunning... More
Best to go earlier in the year when the flowers are in bloom, but still very nice in August. Fabulous views over Lake Maggiore and a lovely peaceful walk through the woods. About ten minutes walk from the middle cable car station. Well worth a visit.
It was so wonderful up here, very peaceful and quiet. Yes it is a bit of a walk from the cable car but not too much and well worth it. The garden is not as spectacular as some but it is beautifully laid out and meticulously kept, and there is a most glorious view of Lake maggiore and the surrounding... More

A quiet garden gem, with lots of alpine plants in pleasant environment. not best time to visit for the flowers though. The view point gave a stunning vista of the lake, its islands and the mountains around. It's 40,000 sq m so plenty of walking although only a small part cultivated as alpine garden - the rest is meadow/woodland and... More
A short drive up from Stresa (30 minutes) provides you with a garden setting with some of the finest view of Lake Maggiore. You don't have to be a plant specialist, to enjoy the magic of this place. One word of warning the rustic benches provided for your repose, are all a bit rickerty, and likely to collapse so take... More
