Small but quite interesting place to see, some very interesting paintings, with original visual effects. If you are in Padua then worth to see.

The baptistry is beautiful and worth a side trip if you are in Padua, but it is now being renovated and much of it cannot be seen behind the scaffolding. You can still enjoy what you can see, but my guess is that maybe half of it is obscured. Still, if you are in Padua, it is worth the few... More

Next to Duomo - it is filled with frescoes that cover the walls and the dome above. Impressive. The entry fee.

I’ve visited the Baptistery a few times and it never ceased to wow me. It is as dazzling as Giotto’s fresco in the Scrovegni Chapel but does not attract quite as many tourists. This is easily the most beautiful baptistery fresco cycle in Italy and well worth the admission fee. If you have a choice, see it in good light... More

Next to the Duomo...(which can be skipped!) in the historic centre...this is a beautiful building. Enjoy the frescoes showing scenes from the old and New Testament. I found the guide extremely helpful...delighted to give you the history and point out important people or scenes. Do make time to visit this gem of historic Padua.

The frescoes in the Baptistery were outshone only by those in the Scrovengi Chapel. But the comparison is probably a silly one to make; on their own and in their own way the frescoes in the Baptistery were superb and should not be missed. We made a second visit to appreciate them fully.

We came upon the Duomo and the Battistero (Baptistry) while walking through the historic center of Padova (Padua). I went inside the baptistery for chance. What a discovery. Wonderful frescos and you can stay there all the day if you like to. Take with you binoculars.... And when you have finished, take an ice cream in Piazza dei Signori and go to see the other hidden masterpiece of XIV century, the Altichieri's Chapell, near the Saint Anthony's Church,... More
