Worth to see if you are in Padua, it is first world university, so should be at least looking from exterior.

A university is an unusual place to visit as a tourist but this is a must to see the first viewing chamber of medical dissection

We wanted to go on the tour, but they offer it at set times and it didn't jive with our schedule ( we were there in winter). You can look up the times online. But aside from that, the area around the university is full of energy, shops and places to see. We enjoyed what we did see.

Got to see the lecturn from which Galileo lectured. The operating theater was very interesting as well. Worth a visit.

This short timed tour is with a guide and we were shown the pulpit which Galileo used to give his lectures. The most fascinating part of the tour was when we were taken into the 16C galleried anatomy theatre where the bodies were dissected. This is the oldest surviving medical lecture theatre.
