Interesting morning at the glass factory. You get to see how the glass is melted, blown and molded into unique and interesting pieces of art. To get there we took the Vaporetto from Venice, The trip didn't take long - it was refreshing. The glass factory demonstration was both educational and fun. Admission is relatively inexpensive, Not sure if they... More

The best part of the glass factory is to watch the demonstration. After that, the tour just becomes a huge sales pitch to buy over-priced glass. The glass is beautiful to look at, but most of the pieces are ostentatious for my taste. I believe it is worth the visit, but don't get sucked in by the sales staff, or... More

To visit one of the murano glass factories is a must if you have some extra time to spend. If time is limited just stick to the oli Venice monuments More

Well, my wife loved it. The glass demonstration was interesting, but after that the women got to do their shopping which was quite boring for the men in our group. More

We were offered a complementary water taxi to visit Murano glass factory. On arrival we were welcomed by a guide and we had a fabulous tour of the factory. The items were very expensive. We landed up buying some jewelry and Cufflinks which cost us a lot. The same items we saw 1/4 of the price in the other shops... More

After a rather long boat trip from San Marco square we arrived in Murano and paid E8 entrance fee to the glass factory. This was most interesting and had artifacts dating back to BC. There were pieces that I thought were very modern and was amazed to find out that they had been in existance for hundreds of years. They... More

If you've never seen glass-blowing before, here's the place to do it. Beautiful objects made on the premises are for sale, but there is no pressure to buy. The demonstration is free and runs often. More

We visited on a three-island trip, and wish we could have stayed longer. The glass-blowing demonstration was amazing, although the showroom prices were far more expensive than in the shops in Venice itself. Would love to go back and spend more time on Murano. More

Glass sculptures are impressive. Good for a short stop. You need to search for the distinctive shops but they're there. The glass blowing demonstration is short so it would be good for small children. More

You have to purchase something from this magnificent factory where you can view glassblowers showing their skill and trade. Also large range of jewelry and of course Venetian masks. They will ship and insure purchases that arrived exactly 4-6 weeks later as promised. My advice, buy here for quality then go to island of Burano for gifts. More
