Lovely atmosphere, we thought prices were reasonable, compared to Rome. A lovely trattoria one street behind, more authentic Italian. You must try "Aperol" its a orange coloured aperitif-lovely!!

Food festival and sitting in restaurant with view of the arena watching the world go by! Also enjoyed the train ride from the piazza which was only 5 euros for ride round the city.
great atmosphere. While we were there in early May there were many "bancherelli" market stalls to you, with all sorts of food, drink, clothes. lots of acts, mime artists and the like, and the usual street vendors. We liked the atmosphere and late in the evening spent some time people watching from one of the bars - good prices, nice service.
Piazza Bra is a central point of old Werona, it is almost impossible to miss. Very nice, green place.
Great place to people watch, walk around, have a coffee, admire the amphitheatre. A must-be place and center point for all other points of interest.
Very cosmopolitan, very inviting and very Italian. This piazza is an excellent bse to start exploring Verona. Verona is surprisingly green, with many parks and green areas. This piaza has a lovely area in the centre, but is dominated by the awe inspiring Arena. This is also the place where you can get on the excellent city sightseeing tour bus....

After leaving the train station by taxi, we arrived at Piazza Bra. The first thing you notice is a beautiful central circular area surrounded by trees, in the centre is a water feature, there is seating under the trees. The amazing Arena dominates the piazza- and something you should take time to see.
This is the largest square in Verona...

Beautiful, vibrant, clean, and full of the life of the town. Nothing to dislike. Prices are reasonable in the surrounding bars and the people are not rude or pushy.
My wife and I traveled to Verona last July. Our first introduction to Verona's beauty after settling into our hotel was Piazza Bra. It has a beautiful stone-gate entrance that draws you in to this elegant square lined with several shops and restaurants and architecture built throughout previous centuries. The Arena, town hall and the Palazzo Barbieri are three magnificent...
