The church of Santa Felicita is quite beautiful in itself, but the real reason for visiting it is to see Pontormo's "Deposition," one of the greatest art works in a city absolutely full of great art. Do not miss it.

Please, stop and visit this church: look on the altarpiece and you will see a wonderful fresco, a model till the contemporary time. A "Deposition from the cross" from Pontormo. This painter came after leonardo and Michelangelo and had to do something different and, in my opinion, he succesfully made something original and comparable with the other masters. Look at...

Stumbled across this beautiful church. It's very non-descript from the outside. But inside, as we arrived at 17:00, there was the rosary been said. This gave what is a beautiful church inside already , an extra appeal.. Worth walking in if your walking past.

The vigil on the night before Good Friday - Catholic mass - and the remarkable juxtaposition of Pontormo's beautiful Annunciation and bizarre. richly-hued Deposition - made this an unforgettable moment in a city that's filled with them.
