One of the few cathedrals where looking down at the floor (with the fabulous mosaics) is just as spectacular as looking up at the ceiling or at the art along the walls and in the chapels.

An amazing gothic cathedral. Easy to find from anywhere in the city. The cost has gone up a little $12 for combo pass that includes the Cathedral, museum, baptistery, and crypt. Climb to the top at museum for amazing views.

Very difficult to think of anything to add to what's already been written. I don't normally buy guide books of cathedrals; Siena was so good that I made an exception.

interesting church, it does not really preach religion but philosophies of life. Beautiful mosiac pictures on the floor. Its better to have a guide to explain the meanings of the pics.

Take your time visiting this cathedrall it's really worth it. Beautifull not only on its outside but also inside. Every little corner is a piece of art.
