When you see the level of quality of goods in this museum you get to understand how wealthy these people were. It is facinating to see the history. A tip don't miss out going on the roof as you can see the whole area from the top brilliant. More

The cathedral, while not as large as it was originally planned, is certainly a wonder to behold. The architecture is similar to all churches of its era, but the interior is absolutely splendid! The inlaid marble pictures in the floors are the most splendid we saw in our travels in Italy. The library with its volumes of ancient musical scores... More

Siena Cathedral is among the best churches in Italy, and it's completely different from every other church in the country (except Orvieto Cathedral, that is in a similar style). If you are in Italy you just can't miss it. More

The duomo of Siena is possibly better looking on the outside than the inside. The most memorable detail to me was the combination of deep black and white stone. Bands of colours adorn the building inside and outside. The floors of the cathedral are most noteworthy: carvings depicting all kinds of scenes, both biblical and historical are to be seen... More

It's difficult to say which is more impressive, the interior or exterior of this magnificent church. They're both worth spending some time enjoying and the all-inclusive pass for all of the areas of the Duomo complex is good value - make sure you catch the city view from the panoramic terrace of the uncompleted nave area especially. The marble inlaid... More

Sienna is a wonderful town filled with interesting little streets, lots of places to eat, delicious gelato and our most favorite Cathedral. It is true that Orvieto is also striped and has gold on the front, but it's the combination of the outside stripes, the inside which includes the Piccolomini library and the baptistry that sets Sienna above the others...
