It was worth the walk up the hill - it was a great place to explore and beautiful views of the surrounding area.

Every time I am in Assisi, I try to visit the Rocca Maggiore. The views from the tower are unbeatable - just incredible! You can see the entirety of Assisi, and 360 degree views of the land around the mountain. You have to climb stairs and enter into dark passageways to get there, so those who are claustrophobic should beware.... More

This was an amazing journey. I went early in the morning and i recommend you do also-to beat any crowds.
