We just loved the true"Italian" feel of this ancient Duke's Palace. Coming from the new world, we adored feeling part of the old world and the views from our room were amazing.

Palazzo Ducale houses some interesting portraits and furniture, but for us the joy was finding the reconstruction of Federico da Montefeltro's studiolo. The original was removed and is now in the Metropolitan Museum in New York; recently this wonderful reconstruction has been installed in the original position. By far the best exhibit in this museum is the intarsio panelled room which is frankly amazing. However, this alone doesn't justify the 5 euro entrance fee - I would go to the duomo for free and spend the money on a gelato.
