We chose Rigi over Pilatus based solely on the fact that the cogwheel railway was shut in Pilatus until May but was open for Rigi. Possible to take the cog rail to the top and then either a different cog rail down to different town, or a little further down the cog rail change to a cable car going down a different side of the mountain to yet another bus. This place is breathtaking!!!! Took the kids sledging here. It is well worth a visit! Restaurant serves great food.

the journey to mount Rigi is fantastic, however once you are there you are disappointed as not even good coffee is available.
