After reading the numerous fantastic reviews on Tripadvisor, I made it a point to visit here for my Amsterdam trip. The cafe was fantastic, a great place to relax & chill out, enjoying the scenic view of Amsterdam. It was a pity we couldn't seat outdoors due to the annoying pigeon that kept hopping around, unfazed by humans. Food was... More

Exceptional design, cheap internet (1 euro per 1/2 hour) and printing and a great view of the city. The cafe/restorant on the last floor has free wifi access.

One if the nicest libraries I've ever seen. Each floor is dedicated to a different field, with the basement being a children's library, and one floor filled completely with DVDs and CDs. The food court 'La Place' on the top floor is reasonable, and the best thing is that they have a terrace which allows you amazing views of Amsterdam... More

When our laptop broke down, this was a great place to use cheap internet. Only a few euros per hour.

The new Library has a special section for kids, with round shelves, colorful decoration, seating/reading spots and crawl space. There's also a café inside and a nice restaurant on the outside

The Central Library is a fantastic building with a very modern architecture. In the seventh floor there is a nice self service restaurant (La Place) but where you can have a fantastic view from Amsterdam from its terrace. Try not to get the elevator, so you can see everything is each floor. The library has all the technological resources that... More

My husband and I LOVE libraries and we have been to many great libraries, including New York City Public Library and Chicago Central Public Library. When we walked into this library, we were like, WOW!!! This is the best library we have ever visited! Every section is clearly marked, they have a great collection of books in English, the children... More

This is probably the most technologically-advanced library that I have ever seen. There is plenty of light and space on each floor, and ample computers for everyone. On the Terrace Level there is a cafeteria (operated by local restaurateur le Place) which includes beer and wine with a variety of foods and great view.
