This museum is handbag heaven. I loved the historical information presented on the very early bags. Since I have never visited any such museum before I found the "evolution" quite remarkable. As with all textile installations the lighting was very minimal but just power through. The all female visitors were clearly in ecstasy, "come see this" "OMG look at this"... More

This is a cute little museum with a fantastic collection. A must for the accessories addicts, and fun for anyone who likes to look at purses.

I dragged my poor husband here with the promise of afternoon tea afterwards. The actual museum was dissapointing in respect to how many bags were there. However the afternoon tea in the tearoom on the 1st floor was excellent. For 18euros each we had sandwhiches, cheese straws, the most delicious sausage and herb sausage rolls, scones, mini cakes and truffles... More

From the title of the museum you might think no man should be caught dead in here but you'd be wrong. When you take your better half to this museum 1) you get big points for doing something they would never believe you'd do (so maybe she'll be happy to let you go to the Heineken brewery) , 2) the... This was a fun museum for my wife and I enjoyed it also.It was very well laid out in an order to see how these items changed over the years.

Not everybody will be interested in purses, but this museum was well done and informative. It was fine for a rainy day, and we had a tasty lunch in their café.

Reference to Agent 86 is the secret agent in Get Smart who answers his Shoe phone. There is a purse like a phone in this museum. Spent a delightful late morning going through the museum, had a nice lunch and finished off with a a good shopping spree. Interesting history on purses. Well displayed in a beautiful old home from... Two floors of handbags - pleasure for ladies, torture for guys ;) but how many handbags museums are you going to visit in your life? Probably only this one. Collection could be bigger (for me, for my hubby it was too big). Overall the time well spent. Look for little discount cards for attractions in your hotels- you'll get 20%... More

After the crowds of the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, this is offers a lovely change of pace. Located in a sumptuous old canal house, the museum offers a fascinating look at the history of the purse and hand bag. Start by taking the elevator to the top floor and then work your way down. Be sure to stop... More

The visit was nice, but for me it was a little bit boring. The exhibition is beautiful organized, but if you are not really into fashion and fashion history it’s not the place for you.
