This is a very pleasant way to spend an hour or so in Amsterdam. The experience is as intense or laid back as you like and with a cocktail and a couple of shots of your choice at the end is very good value for money as well.

The walkthrough at the House of Bols is amazing! You go from one room to another to learn about the history of the Bols liquor but what really attracts you is how much the entire place is designed to interact with and engage your five senses. Touching the ingredients, smelling the aromas, listening and dancing to party music, relaxing in...

Enjoyable experience; a very glossy flashy interactive museum that tells the history of Bols liqueurs and gin in an interactive way. Lots of fun (totally over the top) and you get a cocktail and 2 shots at the end.
I love cocktails so this was a nice place to go. We went in February so it was really really cold and there are only so many coffee shops you can go to. The house of bols is located right by the I am Amsterdam sign- by the museum, so a pretty easy location with other attractions nearby.

A lovely way to pass a couple of hours early evening before dinner! Interesting info about the Bols compan.,Enjoyed trying to identify flavours by their smell. You then get to select ingredients for your own cocktail which is made in the bar especially for you. All staff charming and helpful. Something lighthearted and a bit different from the usual museums.
We loved it, and was a great hour or so before our booking time for Van Gogh museum as its literally opposite!
Was strolling past and thought we'd pop in to have a look. A bit tedious, alot about taste and smell, the history of Bols etc......a few interesting pieces. The really interesting bit comes at the end where you get to choose a cocktail mixed in front of you, and a couple of shots.
An ok way to spend a spare...

This was one interesting place. Even if you don;t drink Bols cocktails that often i think everyone will find something interesting in this museum. Plus it breaks the norm of regular museums as well.
What a fantastic time we had here. It costs 14 Euro and we were the only ones here one Monday about 11am. I liked the fact it was fun and interactive. As there was no-one else there it meant we could do the interactive part of the tour without having to queue or anything.
At the end of the tour...
