a green lung in the city with something exta - modern art - not shocking as it sometimes does, but well integrated

The outdoor museum Middelheim is great for an afternoon stroll. You walk in between the works of art, some more modern than others and afterwards you can relax a bit by the castle bar.

Unfortunately, it was freezing when we visited this place but I still loved it. During warmer months it must be absolutely beautiful. It is a perfect way to view art.

The park is situated at the outskirts of Antwerp, but a bus will bring you there. Or hire a bike at the velokes or bluebike points. Go for a walk in this beautiful park with very old trees, admire the sculptures that live in harmony with the trees, have a look at Weiwei's bridge, have a drink in the cafe... More

It is hidden somewhere outside of the center of Antwerp but absolutely worthwhile to go there. The amount of excellent sculptures there is enormous.Just go there and feel overwhelmed by the beauty of the park and statues.

The Middelheim outdoor museum gives you an excellent idea on evolution in sculpture. I like to pass hours there, especially when the weather is good, I always take my sketchbook with me, lot of inspiration there ! A surplus is the inn !

open air museum well worth visiting. This parc has some amazing sculptures from early 20th century till present. Great to go with kids.

Nice park with sculptures wich are worth visiting. Quiet place in the middle of a buzzy town. Very good atmosphere
