I always admire how people can draw up walls and make them nicer. Its great to see big names of BD going into mural painting. If it isn't the same person who did it, it was really well copied.
We stayed in the apartment next door to the mural - we could see it in the mornings and was a pleasant sight.
We saw one of these on the way to visit the Mannekin Pis. It was Captain Haddock and Tintin walking down stairs on a blue background, probably about 30 feet high on the side of a building - really brightened up the street.
These murals scattered all over Brussels are so fun! I have lived here for 5 months now and find joy in them each time I see a new one! Definitely keep an eye out for TinTin!
Loved the colour and detail, like a page out of my favourite Tin Tin comic. And the fact that it is just there, with no fanfare, waiting with quiet humour to meet your eyes and take you by delightful surprise. Wish more cities had this idea of making their walls reach out and speak.
it is interesting but not a large scale museum. english is not widely used (french, dutch and german). you can buy something from the shop of the museum.
If you know Tintin, the warmhearted hero not only for Kids, then you'll love this mural painting in Bruxelles. Even if not, you'll enjoy the nice atmosphere here. A must if you have kids, but also if you're just closeby and have a spare half an hour to have a look!
I am a big Tintin and Asterix fan. We bought the walking tour map to visit some of the murals (they are more than 30, if you want to see them all it will take you half a day). It is sold for 2 euros at the tour information office at the Grand Platz
Just to be aware: there is...

You get a beautiful walk while looking out the large wall paintings. Buy a map at the tourist office where the murals are highlighted. Costing 1 euro and is well worth the money.
