The Van Buuren Museum is a wonderful place to visit and is very unique. Its furnishings are Art Deco and we enjoyed seeing the very colorful carpets. There is plenty of good art work too. You can also take a walk in the gardens where you can see some outdoor art. A taxi from the Grand Place cost us about... More

If you are fan of an architecture, you must see the place. The house is beautiful and the gardens also are! There is a unique private collection and the guide to the museum is very charming.

Yes this is a lovely house and an amazing garden. And well worth the visit. Being totally honest though I was a little dissapointed, not by what my wife (who is an interior designer) and I saw, more by what we didn't. While the house is on three floors the visitor is only given access to two. You don't not... More

A beautiful and serene place, well worth the trip out of the city. It's a house, down a quiet and very smart residential street. The Art Deco styling is impeccable. When you arrive, you're asked to put protectors over your shoes, and you're given a folder with a detailed explanation of what you're going to see. It's 6 pages of... More

I visited here after haveing been to the Horta Museum the previous day, so felt like a slight let down after that experience. Still a remarkably fine example of an Art Deco house with fine grounds in a well-to-do suburb of the city.

After three trips to Brussels we finally managed to visit the Musee van Buuren--and we weren't disappointed. It takes a bit of effort to get there--we took the tram and it was very easy to find once you get off the number 7. The house is in a beautiful residential neighbourhood. There is a booklet of information in English and... More

The Van Buuren Museum is better than its website's pictures, and they are beautiful. We took tram 3 from the Horta Museum and were able to visit both on the same day. We used the TripAdvisor app to help us get to the house within 5 minutes of arriving at the Churchill tram stop. We were stunned that we were... More

The house built and owned by the van Buuren's is located in a very smart residential area of Brussels some way out of the centre. It is worth the trek however because the house is superb, the art collection amazing and the garden tranquil. The only downside is there is little personal information about the couple themselves and nothing to... More

I always like museums that reflect the taste of particular collectors. Most art and artefact museums assemble exhibits more or less at random: they may be arranged by themes, periods, schools, countries, genres, etc., but they are often acquired without any plan: gifts, bequests, loans or the personal decisions of whoever is responsible for buying at any given time. Some... More

Everything original and great if you like Horta. The furniture, decorations and even the garden are a real treat and testament to the organisation
