This must be one of the best beaches ever. Miles of unspoilt golden sand; perfect for lounging around or strolling along. Useful beach cafes dotted about where you can have a refreshing drink or spot of lunch. They all have toilet facilities.

Huge expanse of white sand opposite our hotel (Vila Gale Lagos). Some excellent Beach Bars, but not cheap.

A 4 km beach which is very wide goes from Lagos towards Alvor. There a some lovely beach restaurants and two just in front of the Yellow Lagos Meia Praia Hotel serve super sea food. There is a train from Faro to Lagos which has a stop at Meia Praia. Only 100 metres from the beach.

This beach is really clean and you can really have a very good walk along its whole length. It is also very good for children with plenty of room to play and lots of very different shells for the to collect as souveniers.

We walked via the Marina past the Railway station and along the beach to the Tivoli Beach Club. Beautiful clean golden sands along a sweeping bay for several kilometres with views of the shoreline all the way. There were few people there in April despite the perfect weather, but it would be an ideal venue for families in season when... More

The location is great. The service was so bad we with-held the usual tip. We waited a long time to be served, and even longer to get the bill when we were ready to leave. A definite disinterest by the proprieter

Nice beach, still busy even at the end of the summer, with several activies around. Restaurants are available by the beach, pedal boats, jet skis are available for rent... and for those who enjoy watersports windsurfing lessons...

This is a lovely long beach, great for a walk. Good sand and several places to stop for a drink or snack.

5km of golden sand - never gets too crowded. wonderful walks early in the morning or late in the evening. Fun water sports available and plenty of good beach bars dotted along it's length - love it!
