You can practice physical exercise in nature. Is a beautiful park. You can also go there to do a picnic.

Since we had a spare time we decided to give a try. probably because of the whole day very beutiful sceneries it seems to be a bit boring. But if I had another spare day we would probably goto explore this more deeply

Nice place to visit, bring friends and family and to spend time on pic-nic style. Wide areas with lots of green spaces. It is a big far from local access. You will need car to take you there.

Nice park. Go spend a few hours or half a day. Go to the view point at the far eastern corner of the park - it's well worth the climp up!

Lots of walking through the forests in a maze of trails. BBQ area to cook and lots of tables and benches to eat at. Great views of the island and ocean from the tower.

I walked from my hotel in Ponta Delgada to this park, wich is some climbing, but the way to the park is wonderfull (Faja Baixo and Faja Cima on the way, see a nice local windmill, walk on landroads through the landscape and enjoy the flowers).
