This museum was a nice exhibit explaining the story of Fatima. It is a public museum, not a religious site. The wax figures and scenery are very realisitic and a good depiction of the story. The museum has about 30 scenes and although the plates with the explaination are in Portuguese, you can get a pamphlet where it explains each... More

Just a museum where you can see the life of Christ represented. Very simple, if you have no time you will not miss anything important in Fatima. Its not a must. This museum might be a good idea for children or curious non-believers to understand the events of Fatima in 1917. For adults who know the story, it is unnecessary. It simply depicts the most important events via wax figures in appropriate and well designed settings. Good rainy day activity but not a must-see.

The Museu de Cera is a great way to learn the story of the apparitions of the three shepherd children in Fátima. There isn't anything fancy about the museum, nor even of the scenes created of the children, but it does serve as a visual aid to understand the history of this pilgrimage area.
