Tram 28 stopped right outside our rental apartment and since Lisbon is very hilly this was a great way to travel. It can get very crowded at certain times of day but we did not have any trouble on it and people were very courteous.

A travel in time, the old trams are simply wonderful. Excellent views, a very calm and intimate stroll. I hope they never change! It is like going for a ride in the past. Very enjoyable!
Tram 28 is one of the funnest ways to see the city as it goes up and down the steep hills of Lisbon.

This is the best way to see the hilly parts of the city. A bit crowded, but fun! We liked the atmosphere and the authentic old cable cars!
Tram 28 takes you to the cathedral and its only a few mins walk to the castle.Fantastic views, and a pleasant walk back to town via the Alfama district.

Tram 28 is without doubt the best way to get a flavour of Lisbon. The trams are living, working antiques and tackle some improbably steep inclines and the narrowest of streets. From window...
