This is a lovely church, interesting architecture from the Byzantine period and has some old wall paintings and icons.

We have visited The Curch of Spiridon a lots of times during the last ten years when we stayed in Corfu town or in Parga on the nearby coast. The chruch is our own holy place in Greece and we have saying when we throw some wine slots or other beverages away here at home that "this is för Spiridon".... More

Whilst wondering the cobble stoned pathways of Corfu you will end up in front of Agios Spiridon. A must visit place wether to worship, light a candle for the souls or just to sit and listen to the sermon.

This church in the centre of the old town is worth a visit. The coffin of the saint is paraded four times a year and rests in the church. The ceiling is beautiful and the quiet inside is restful

Different - very ornate. Would have preferred all the gold and silver to be sold and proceeds given to the poor!

Only takes a few minutes as the church is situated in the centre of the Old Town and well worth popping in. A good landmark too if you get lost!

We were visiting Corfu with Greek friends, who took us to see this lovely little church. The view of the church from the top of hill, before you descend is gorgeous. This building takes you back in time and it is an icon of the island and therefore a must see for visitors!

Is the Church with the tallest tower in the town. Consecrated to Corfu's patron whose relics remains are buried here. We like very much the fresco and icons and the tranquility.
