exposition on different characters was greatly disappointing. The soundtrack was poorly prepared, it stopped a lot, the characters' speeches was breaking and it lacked fluency. Not sure who did the quality management on this but didn't work too hard. The idea was nice, delivery disappointing.

This is a lovely museum, but it is now closed until fall of 2014 where a new larger museum will open just across the street. But if you are looking for a lovely piece of nature in Aarhus, the forrest around the museum is still very nice and close to the water too :) But don't go there for the... More

A thorough run through Danish history from 4000 bc to app 1000 ad. Especially the temporary exhibition about the scandinavian vikings was impressive!! And a visit to the nearby Moesgaard Beach is recommended in the summertime. I live not far from the museum - but this was my first visit... And last, because the museum is moving to new buildings... The museum takes you on a journey through the history of Denmark from the very early dwellings through to the Vikings and their conquerings. The highlight of the exhibit is the stone age bog man that has been preserved so well that even his hair is intact. Should the wether be good the museum is surrounded by beautiful grounds with... The Moesgård Museum makes an excellent day excursion for both families with young children and adult travelers alike. Tons of cool artifacts and exhibits, all situated in a beautiful old forest. Two finds from the Iron Age - the Grauballe Man, the only completely preserved bog body, and the impressive collection of weapons from Illerup Ådal - were the highlight... More

Most interesting is the bog body Grauballemand. Also like the souvenir shop.

With some beautiful buildings and great exhibits our family really enjoyed a reat day out here. We had been before but the brand new viking exhibition was really wonderful with my teenage daughter. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful and informative, the museum is beautifully set out and so interesting. Thank you for a lovely day.

A very elegant choice I'd say. An interesting museum full of old stuff which is interesting to look at. However, there are some more interesting choices out in the city.

I'm going to be honest, I'm not really a viking history buff, so my review may be biased. The museum, to me, unoriginal. It had display cases with old artifacts and some interactive exhibits. To me, it wasn't memorable in comparison to the dozens of other museums I've visited. Most interesting to me was the Grauballe Man, a mummy preserved... More

See the man found in a bog around 2000 years ago. You can also see many advances in agriculture and in people's lives throughout the years. With the Viking Museum worth the money for the whole family.
